On March 25, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM, the Southern Police District under the leadership of PBGEN MARK D PESPES, DD, SPD through the District Community Affairs and Development Division (DCADD) under the supervision of PCOL JENNY DC TECSON, C, DCADD in cooperation with the Taguig City Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (LDRRMO) represented by Ms. Francelle Nadine M. Alfelor, Nurse, EMT, Taguig Rescue and Bureau of Fire and Protection (BFP) led by SFO3 Arnold D Baloloy and two others joined in the conduct of the First Quarter C.Y. 2024 Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) at the SPD Grandstand, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

The activity was participated by all District Headquarters PNP uniformed and non-uniformed personnel. The personnel properly performed the duck, cover, and hold and executed the 5 Phases of the Earthquake Drill: the Alarm, Response, Evacuation, Assembly and Head count.

The activity started with an invocation led by PLT BERNARDO W MIRANDA, DESPO, followed by PCOL ANDRES O SIMBAJON, JR, DDDO for the welcome remarks. Ms. Francelle Nadine M Alfero, Nurse, EMT, Rescue of LDRRMO, Taguig City and FO1 Patrick Dustin V Morales of Bureau of Fire Protection Taguig gave their critiques and recommendations on how to improve the execution of the Earthquake drill. Afterwards, the guidance of PBGEN MARK D PESPES, DD, SPD/Task Group Commander was delivered by PCOL JESSIE B TAMAYAO, Deputy District Director for Administration.
