Five individuals involved in illegal activities were arrested in Brgy. Pembo, Taguig City during a routine foot patrol on June 17, 2024, at around 5:30 PM. The arrested suspects were identified are alias Israel, 26, tricycle driver, alias Aniceto, 38, alias Prince 27, construction worker, alias Joey, 34, and alias Jayson, 41, kitchen crew.

The five were engaged in illegal gambling (Cara y Cruz). Upon frisk and search, seized was one .38 caliber revolver loaded with six live rounds and one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, weighing approximately 1.2 grams, valued at Php 8,160.00, one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, weighing approximately 1.4 grams, valued at ₱9,520.00 and betting money used in the illegal gambling activity and three one-peso coins.

The seized items will be handed over to the SPD Forensic Unit for further laboratory examination. The suspects will face complaints for violation of Section 11, Article II of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), PD 1602 (Illegal Gambling), and RA 10591 (Illegal Possession of Firearm and Ammunition). The complaint is being prepared for submission to the Taguig City Prosecutor’s Office.
