Two suspects were arrested for violation of RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) and RA 9516 (Illegal Possession of Explosives) by personnel of Pasay City Police Substation 5 (Baclaran ) personnel while conducting OPLAN Sita at Barangay 148, Zone 16, Pasay City at approximately 8:55 PM on Monday (June 17).

The suspects were identified as alias Menmen, 29 years old and alias Jun, 44 years old.

The duo were riding a motorcycle without helmets when they were spotted by arresting personnel. They attempted to evade the police inspection by making a U-turn. A swift response by the police team led to their 0mmediate apprehension. Upon verification, authorities recovered one single barrel pistol (Improvised) loaded with one live ammunition recovered from alias Jun and one MK2 Fragmentation Grenade found inside the sling bag of alias Menmen.

Both suspects were promptly informed of their Constitutional rights during the apprehension process. They were brought to Sub-Station 5 of Pasay CPS for documentation including the recovered pieces of evidence.
