
The Southern Police District commends the swift response of Pasay City Police Station, under the leadership of PCOL JOSELITO M DE SESTO, following a 911 Kalasag Hotline call that led to the arrest of a suspect for Frustrated Parricide and violation of Republic Act 9262.
At around 11:05 PM on August 5, 2025, alias “Boy,” 44, allegedly stabbed his wife, alias “Arlyn,” 32, during a domestic altercation at their residence along Andrews Avenue, Barangay 184, Maricaban, Pasay City. Relatives rushed the victim to Pasay City General Hospital, where medical staff discovered a balisong still lodged in her back, which was later surgically removed.
Sub-Station 7 received the emergency call and immediately dispatched personnel to the scene. Responding officers arrested the suspect on-site after a witness positively identified him.
Police brought the suspect to Sub-Station 7 for documentation and medical examination, then turned him over to the Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) and the Investigation and Detective Management Section (IDMS) for further case processing. The victim filed a formal complaint at around 2:10 AM on August 6. Inquest proceedings before the Pasay City Prosecutor’s Office are now underway.
In a statement, PBGEN RANDY Y ARCEO, Acting District Director of the Southern Police District, commended the quick action of the responding officers and underscored the importance of public cooperation in reporting incidents.
“This incident clearly demonstrates the importance of a reliable emergency response system and the readiness of our police officers to respond to distress calls without delay. The immediate arrest of the suspect following a 911 report is a direct reflection of our commitment to the directive of our Chief, PNP to deliver swift and responsive police service. The Southern Police District will continue to act with urgency to protect vulnerable members of our community and to ensure that justice is served, especially in cases of domestic violence.”
