



On March 31, 2025, at 7:30 AM, the Southern Police District under the leadership of PBGEN MANUEL J ABRUGENA, DD, SPD, through the District Community Affairs and Development Division (DCADD), under the supervision of PCOL JENNY DC TECSON, C, DCADD, held the Monday Flag Raising and Awarding Ceremonies in relation to the 2025 National Women’s Month Celebration with the theme: “WE for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society, “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas” at the SPD Grandstand, Lawton Avenue, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.
The activity was spearheaded by PCOL JESSIE B TAMAYAO, DDDA with PCOL RODEL A PASTOR, ADDDO, and PCOL RICARDO A PUNZALAN, ACDDS together with the Chief of the District Staff and support units, and was graced by Atty. Desiree D. Macaraeg, Senior Assistant City Prosecutor, DOJ, Office of the City Prosecutor, Taguig City, as the Guest of Honor and Speaker.
Highlights of the event were the awarding of eight female personnel in recognition of their laudable and exemplary accomplishment as empowered women of excellence, presented by the guest of honor and speaker with the command group and Chief, District Staff.
In her message, Atty. Macaraeg, wherein stated that “Throughout history, women have shattered barriers, illustrating that true strength is not merely physical but rooted in determination, wisdom, and faith.” She also concluded her speech with a prayer for strength and guidance from the Lord.
