The Southern Police District (SPD) reported a generally peaceful and orderly observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day 2025 across its area of responsibility, following the successful implementation of security measures under the “Ligtas Undas 2025” operational plan.

In the official assessment released by the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) under the leadership of PMGEN ANTHONY A ABERIN, Regional Director, the security plan for Undas 2025 was successfully implemented through the concerted efforts of the police, local government units (LGUs), civilian volunteers, and concerned government agencies. The NCRPO noted that the overall observance in Metro Manila was generally peaceful, with no major untoward incidents recorded.

Under the supervision of PBGEN RANDY Y ARCEO, District Director of the Southern Police District, SPD personnel were strategically deployed in cemeteries, transport terminals, major thoroughfares, and areas of convergence to ensure public safety, manage traffic flow, and provide assistance to commuters and the visiting public.

Throughout the period of “Ligtas Undas 2025” operation, SPD recorded a total of 52 persons arrested for various criminal offenses. Authorities also confiscated 8 bladed weapons, 5 bottles of alcoholic beverages, and 1,681 assorted prohibited items such as lighters and perfume, as part of intensified security and inspection efforts across the district.

“We are pleased to report that the observance of Undas 2025 within the Southern Police District was peaceful and orderly,” said PBGEN RANDY Y ARCEO. “This success reflects the commitment and coordination of our personnel, partner agencies, and the public, all working together to maintain safety and order during the long weekend.”

The SPD continues to uphold its mandate of ensuring peace and security in southern Metro Manila, in line with the directives and operational thrusts of the National Capital Region Police Office and the Philippine National Police.
