Local authorities in Taguig City arrested two individuals during a buy-bust operation in, Calzada-Tipas, Taguig City. The operation, which took place at around 7:30 PM, led to the apprehension of alias “Pao-pao” 20 years old and alias Renz 23 years old for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (RA 9165).

The suspects were caught in possession of approximately 42.8 grams of suspected shabu. The street value of the confiscated drugs is estimated to be ₱291,040.00.

The operation was carried out by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Taguig City Police Station. The seized items included nine heat-sealed transparent sachets containing the suspected illegal substance, one knot-tied transparent plastic sachet containing the suspected illegal substance, a brown coin purse and a ₱200.00 bill used as buy bust money.

The seized drug evidence will be turned over to Southern Police District Forensic Unit (SPDFU) for qualitative and quantitative analysis

The suspects will face charges for the possession and distribution of illegal drugs under Sections 5 and 11 of Article II of RA 9165.
