On May 18, 2024, at approximately 1:34 PM, the bodies of three individuals were discovered at Saint Joseph Subdivision, Barangay Pulang Lupa, Las Piñas City. The victims were identified as Alias Mary Jean, 27 years old, HR employee, alias Nathalie, 19 years old, student and alias Oliver, 11 years, student. The suspect identitified as alias Vicente, a mechanic and the live-in partner of alias Mary Jean, was also residing at the scene of the incident.

Responding officers from the CAA Substation and Barangay tanod from Pulang Lupa Dos, were alerted by a witness who reported an unpleasant smell emanating from the victims’ room. She immediately informed relatives and reported to Barangay Pulang Lupa Dos and the CAA Substation.

Upon arrival, officers found the lifeless bodies of one male and two females on the floor. The scene revealed disarray, with Victim 1 gagged and bound with packaging tape, Victim 2 with tape around the neck, and Victim 3 with a blanket around the neck. Neighbors reported frequent disputes between Victim 1 and the suspect, often about an alleged affair. Further investigation disclosed that the victims were last seen alive on May 15, 2024. The SOCO team was requested to handle the technical aspects of the investigation.

The Las Piñas City Police Station conducted a hot pursuit operation, leading to the arrest of the suspect, alias Vicente, at around 10:15 PM on May 18, 2024, at Aurora Drive Extension, Vergonville, Pulang Lupa Dos, Las Piñas City. The suspect was brought to the investigation section of the station for further questioning. Suspect will also undergo a drug test by the SPD Forensic Unit while Pertinent documents are being prepared for filing three counts of murder against the suspect before the City Prosecutor’s Office.
